Following are a few Letters of Recommendation from satisfied LFA clients.
Lynne has been a key participant in many phases of several church projects, from scope, development, schematic design and contract documents through construction administration and project closeout. Recently Lynne helped us develop Requests for Proposals and evaluate the bids we received. She has handled technical discussions and negotiations with consulting engineers and contractors, but is also able to explain problems and solutions to our church elders in terms they can understand. Her broad and deep knowledge of New York City building laws and regulations has been invaluable to us. I know I can always rely on Lynne for good and honest advice.
We manage about 30 condos and coops in Manhattan. Lynne Funk and LFA Architects have been assisting us for some time with various issues arising from renovations and repairs involving shareholders and sponsors. Some of these issues have been complex and were addressed with great diligence and attention to the details. We are very satisfied with the quality of their services and have no hesitation in recommending them.
Lynne has been very helpful in suggesting a variety of ways to combine the apartments. Because she is not only a good listener but also a creative architect, she was able to design a living space that flows and is functional. Her knowledge of the Department of Buildings rules and regulations is evident in her planning. I have spoken to our new co-op president about Lynne’s excellent work and highly recommended her and RAND.
I just wanted to thank RAND and Lynne for the work on fixing the terrace leak. Lynne has been so thorough, conscientious, and insightful—her excellent and expert input has made all the difference in diagnosing the problem, envisioning the solution, specifying and supervising the correct repairs. Without Lynne, none of this could have happened.
I have engaged LFA Architects on three occasions: elaborate renovations of two large co-ops in Manhattan, one on the Upper West Side and one on the Upper East Side, and at my place of business, a two-story carriage house on the Upper East Side. All three projects required complicated compliance matters with city agencies, as well as elaborate construction issues surrounding substantial changes in the spaces concerned. Lynne and her staff always acted correctly, promptly and reasonably, and her support and expertise in these matters made these projects, which have been nightmarish for so many, an unexpected pleasure and a pleasant experience.Employing LFA Architects was the right move for us every time.
Lynne Funk and LFA Architects has performed energy benchmarking services for the College Residence Club since 2011, to meet the requirements of a new New York City law as part of its Greener, Greater Building Plan.I have found Lynne and her firm to be reliable and do good work. They are knowledgeable about the law, accessible when questions arose, solved problems and completed the work in a timely fashion. LFA made the process very manageable.
